Weather in late March?

Sure it is hard to predict- but any general consensus on weather in Wilmington in late March? Hoping to be able to spend time outside if not on the beach. Also- thoughts on kid friendly hotels in Wrightsville beach and Wilmington?

You will most likely have nice weather in late March, I'd guess maybe in the 60s or 70s. However, I'd have to give you 60/40 odds on that. You could almost just as easily have mid-high 80s or 90s, or low temps in the 40s or 50s.

Odds are in your favor that the weather will be warm enough to enjoy the beach; we own a vacation home in nearby Holden Beach and spend a lot of time at the beach in late March and April, most of the time we enjoy nice weather.

Late March average high temperatures for that area are around 68-72 degrees. Sometimes you'll find much warmer temperatures in the 80's, but there's also the chance that we could have a late cold spell, and high temperatures could be in the 50's....cooler days also usually come with a lot of cool/cold wind..not good for the beach.

The Holiday Inn Resort in Wrightsville Beach is a very nice oceanfront family-friendly location.

The Hilton in Wilmington is nice if you decide to stay in town. It's a short drive to Wrightsville Beach. Good luck and enjoy your visit.
