spending money and how much to tip

Three of us are going to the Club Hotel Dolphin for two weeks(2 Adults and 1 Child) could anyone give me any idea of how much spending money we would need.We plan to do a couple of trips while we are there. Not sure what ones yet.

How much would you tip the bellboy, pool attendant, room maid etc.

Hi,

Are you AI, FB or HB?

Costs of tours depend on where you want to go - transportation, entrance fees etc.

Tips IMO have to earned not expected.

Pool boy, room boy/maid and waiter about LKR 500/week should be enough. Bellboy LKR 50-100 depending on how far he has to bring your luggage.

Hi there....

As an All Inclusive guest, the service charge (tips) will already be included in your holiday costs, however.....

Would agree on previous hints on tipping at your hotel, so room/pool attendants 500 Rupees per week, around 100 Rupees for bell boys per usage, waiters?, well as said before all depends on service recieved, but feel free to leave 100 to 200 Rupees per day....., ONLY tip for good service, and NOT because it is expected....

Regards

Dave
