Hope you have a great time

Every week, there's usually a Lol-Ha party of LGers which is a hoot. Give me a PM in June and I''ll have the details

That's OK. They will let you play anyway.

Definately bring your own mask/snorkle, and fins if you have room

To bring: drink cooler / bubba keg, face cloths and minimal gear.

If you snorkel a lot , look into a snorkle vest and a rash guard

Eastyorker,

A rash guard is a type of athletic shirt made of lycra or nylon or polyester and intended to be worn in the water. Rash guards are used for light coverage in warm to extreme summer temperatures sometime referred to as skins. The primary reasons for their popularity in these sports are the moisture-wicking properties within the fabric that make sweat evaporate faster than regular fabrics, and their compression fit which limits rash (as quoted from Wikipedia. Divers wear them all the time in warm water.

IowaMike, we have been to ABR in Sep. Had a good time.

Rashguard=another way to get $$ out of my wallet. Some people wear them so they don't have to use as much sunscreen, when you go in and out of the water, or you're in the water for long periods of time, your sunscreen can wash off. We buy a good quality of waterproof sunscreen and apply it well, let it soak in.

Ahh, thank you very much.

I should have known since my husband manufactures performance apparel. He uses fabrics made from Dupont materials which have the qualities in the thread unlike an unnamed well known manufacturer which charges outrageous prices for treated polyester which will lose its properties in the wash.

I use a rashguard when I'll be in the water for a long time. The only sunscreen I use in the water is bio-degradable and seems to wash off easily. Rather spend the extra $ for a rash guard then harm the environment.
