Thomson Premium upgrades.

Flying to Cancun in July, and debating upgrading to premium on our Thomson flight, Current quote is £179 each both ways (i have noticed this price has lowered a lot since we booked our holiday) does this mean it is likely to be lowered more?

Also would like to know Is the upgrade worth the extra money? also are seats guaranteed together, as we have already paid the £25 each to select our seats.

Any help would be appreciated :)

You can check in 24 hours before even if you're not in premium. We always do it at Gatwick as we get parking with hotel, so we check in in the evening.

And if you're on a 'Premium/Platinum' holiday (do not confuse with Premium cabin), you get the extra luggage for free.

And why do people want priority boarding? I'd rather sit in the lounge than an extra 30-45 minutes on the plane.

But it's your choice.

Hi

If you go Premium, avoid seats 1A & 1B and the corresponding ones on other side, we were allocated these on a flight to Goa, because you are up against a bulkhead and can't put your feet under the seat in front, there is effectively less legroom than economy. Couple that with wet pillows and blankets and no priority check in and we have not bothered since. We travel to Maldives twice a year usually with Thomson and are happy in economy.

Hi DerbyAbro,

Thanks for posting the above as I was thinking of booking 1A and B, but after your experience I think I will request the last row in Premium as before.

Thanks for the advice everyone, even though would love to go premium now, me and my partner have decided to keep the money for spending money! Just selected my seats this morning, this is the first day we been able to select them, and I must say there wasn't many to choose from, only the back 8 rows were available!

Bring on July!
