ladies dress guidelines

Hi, I have a quick question- I have read about what men have to wear to the a la carte at the Grand Sirenis, but what about the ladies? Are shorts okay?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi coro08,

I have to say I have yet to see any women in shorts in an a la carte, its more of a time to dress up a bit. Linen trousers with a nice top or a dress. Nothing like you're going to the Opera but "nice". Can't let the men have all the fun with dressing for dinner :)

I agree with Lou.

I the majority of women I saw at the a la cartes were wearing dresses, skirts, etc.

I did see a few wearing capris, but none in shorts.

I wore dresses, skirts or skorts (100% polyester) to all evening meals - I found them cooler to wear than the shorts I had brought.

I agree with the others- why wear shorts when you can wear a confortable sundress, skirt or capris? These are options the men don't have.

To confirm al a cart dress code for Grand Sirenis:

Men: collared shirts + long pants + closed toe shoes

Women: dresses, or skirts (we have it easy). I loved being in a sundress at night - super comfortable, cool and they packed easily. My Mom and I did the lobster dinner on the beach one year and we were happy that we brought our wraps as it was a wee bit chilly (November)...or perhaps we had gotten too much sun during the day, either way, we were glad to have them. I would also suggest skipping heels as some of the surfaces around the resort are uneven (stone walkways) or very shiney (could be slippery) and I have yet to find a bikini that will match a cast :)

Have a great time!
