The place near CRT is running I believe or at least it was in high season . You could take a taxi to La Playa beach bar and walk the short distance on the beach toward CRT and the massage hut . There may be another option right at La Playa .
You may have to pay a refundable entry fee , refundable against purchases at La Playa beach bar , even if you come by cab .
A longer distance with no greater cost by colectivo would be where the colectivo terminates near the foot of Calle 2 in PDC ,where it meets the beach near Wah Wah . Massages near here are around 200 pesos for the hour . You could build the massage into a PDC beach and/or shopping day as you choose .
A few in Tulum
1) From 2012: Massages in a beach front palapa at Hotel la Vita e Bella. (http://www.lavitaebellatulum.com/)
The massages were given by Massages Donamis owned and operated by Loyda, cellular 984-104-73-73. Loyda operates on her own using the palapa on the hotel's property.
2) Margo provides excellent massages (she is mobile)
Has anyone used any of the massage huts along the beaches in Puerto Morelos? Wondering if they are good. $40 sure does sound a lot more affordable than the $120 & counting they want to charge at the resort I am staying in!
Check out the Jungle Spa (www.mayaecho.com/Jungle_Spa.html). Best massage EVER!They are across the hwy in Puerto Morelos. Don't ask at your resort. They want you to use their spa, so they don't recommend you leave the resort. We asked for a taxi, then told the driver where we wanted to go. He knew exactly where it is. I wish we were staying closer!
Many thanks for the recommendation jpinstl!
