Help choosing a resort-great beach, swimmable water...

Hi all! Would love your opinions on a resort. We will be traveling in October. 4 adults and 3 children (all under the age of 3). We have previously been to the VIM and Sandos Playacar. Would love opinions on where to book this time. When looking for a resort, our deciding factors (in order of importance) are price, kids allowed, beach, ocean water, catamaran available, food, pool, "fanciness", entertainment.

Where do you think we should look???

Thanks in advance!

Look at Grand Palladium. Four resorts where you can use all amenities including unlimited a la cartes. Great updated kids club (1-12) and new water park. Guests at al 4 resorts can use all pools, beaches, restaurants, bars. Great entertainment including kids shows, cult shows, live music in lobbies, piano bar. Catamarans available.

Sorry just saw my typo. I need to wear my glasses. No "cult" show. "Adult shows".

Thanks! I have looked at the palladium but it's a bit more than my sister is wanting to spend. I'll keep an eye out :)

2nd vote for the Bahia , however it is very similar in price to the Palladium so might not be in the budget. I always wait till the last couple of weeks and book an all inclusive air / accomodation package through a charter company. Right now , if I look at the price ( from western Canada ) for a week at the Bahia in mid October , I see that they want about $1400 + $380 in taxes and fees for each person.. I know , from constantly watching prices , that If I wait untill late September to book , I would be able to book exactly same flight / resort for about $ 700 less per person.

There are some lesser resorts , we stayed at one in Puerto Aventuras two years ago , we saved about $ 200 per person , but i don't feel it was worth it as we did not enjoy our vacation anywhere near as much as our two previous trips ( to the Coba )
