Wembley Trip

Looking at options for the F.A. Cup Final.

Can anyone tell me, how easy is it to get to Beaconsfield from Wembley (and visa-versa)?

What's the pub scene like on Saturday nights in the area?

Thank for any info.

There are direct trains from Beaconsfield to Wembley Stadium with Chiltern Rail. There are plenty of nice (mostly upmarket) pubs in Beaconsfield.

Also, when there are major events at Wembley Stadium Chiltern Railways often put an additional Wembley stop in some of their trains. Their website will have the details close to the time.

Given your location I'm happy to help.

We did the same thing last week for the Conference play off final. Beaconsfield is a big park & ride commuter destination so although the station is small there's a very big car park for £3.50 all day at weekends. There are services direct to/from Wembley Stadium station every 10 - 15 minutes. Travel time between 16 and 30 minutes depending on stops. The return fare is around £10 for an adult but if there are a few of you check the best price at the station. It cost us £21 for family of 4.

There are a few pubs in the old part of Beaconsfield but it's a small quiet town. You might want to consider High Wycombe just up the road / line. Station car park is £4 all day. See the Bootlegger pub by the station http://thebootleggerpub.co.uk/ which boasts 300 beers. Good luck!

A lot of people going to Wembley stay at the Ethorpe hotel (attached to a Chef & Brewer pub/restaurant) in Gerard's Cross & catch the train straight to Wembly from Gerard's cross station (5min walk from hotel/pub) takes around 15 mins if the train stops faster if Wembly 1st stop I think roughly to Wembly Stadium station.
