if you had to pick one, which one would it be and why? what time of day is best to go?
I'm posting this just to take your post back to the front page - hopefully someone who has experienced either of these tours will be able to help you!
thanks! i hope so!
You can hire a kayak from cape trib beach house, it's the last resort in cape trib before you hit the bloomfield track. they have a restaurant non-guests can dine in and also hire the kayaks as they are right on the beach.
I did the Cow Bay Sunrise Kayak trip a few weeks ago & can definitely recommend it. We stopped at a couple of beaches which are only accessible by boat ... sparkling. white sand & clear, turquoise water made it an incredible experience. We were the only ones on those beaches that morning & our guide Steve was a lot of fun :)
I did the Sunrise Cow Bay trip leaving from Crocodylus in July 2011 and can also recommend it. The morning was a bit overcast, but I really enjoyed it. saw lots of turtles, spent a good amount of time snorkelling, and the beach was just lovely and noone else around. Our guide was excellent, down to earth and friendly, and to top it off we saw a pod of dolphins as we came back into Cow Bay.
We are visiting the region again in July and I am considering the overnight kayak/camping trip to Snapper Island too!
The morning trip is the best option as in the afternoon the wind often increases and makes for hard work and poor water visibility.
EDIT: Doh'...... I just answered a twelve month old questionEdited: 07 June 2013, 02:13
Didn't we all Tony! But it's still good information for everyone.
