What are the cottages like at Salt Fork? We want clean, updated accomodations and wonder if Salt Fork offers this?

Kelly, I was at Salt Fork with friends last fall. I think all of the cottages are the same.

They are on stilts over the lake or on the woods side of the street. You walk up a flight of about 10 stairs or so into a living room/kitchen area. TV, VCR. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, with basic dishes, pots, pans, serving ware. Living room with sofa, chairs. A screened area attached to the living room separated by sliding glass doors with hot tub.

Small bathroom, toilet, shower. Two bedrooms, one with queen or was it a double, can't recall. The other with two bunk beds (sleeps 4). Beds were very hard as I recall. Linens provided.

Outdoors a grill that requires charcoal, and a picnic bench that had seen better days.

Overall definitely expensive for what it is. My hightlight of the trip was shopping/lunching and antiqueing in Cambridge which is a quaint, lovely town.
