Dining near the Radisson

We will be arriving in Cleveland next weekend with our 11 year old. Our plan is to stay at the Radisson downtown. It does not look like they have a breakfast included. Can anyone suggest a good breakfast restaurant, diner, or cafe in the area?

Since we have never visited Cleveland before...any suggestions for dinner locations would be great, too!

There are lots of restaurants in the downtown area - your location is very close to East 4th Street where there is the House of Blues, Lolita's, and several other restaurants. Also, you are close to the Winking Lizard, located at just a few blocks west of the hotel near E.9th and Euclid - good food and reasonably priced - kids like it.

At Tower City, the Hard Rock Cafe may also be a good option for lunch or dinner with an 11 year old. Tower City also has a food court.

I have to think about the breakfast - many of the diners or cafes cater to the working crowd from Monday to Friday - not sure what is open on a Saturday or Sunday but perhaps the hotel can help with that question.

If you don't mind a very short drive - you could visit Grumpy's Cafe in the Tremont Area -

they have a great breakfast!!!

I think Waterstreet Grill and Juniper Grill are both open for breakfast on Saturday. Waterstreet has brunch on Sunday. Juniper is great, waterstreet is not bad. If you have a car I'd recommend Lucky's Cafe in Tremont (5 mins from downtown), they have some of the best breakfast in town - but if it's after 10, don't try to get in as it can get very crowded and you'll have to wait.

I think an 11 year old would not enjoy Lola. I'd recommend the House of Blues (E 4th street, very fun/small area, there's also a upscale bowling alley there if you want to bowl after dinner) or Pickwick & Frolic - HOB has better food though. There's also a pub called Flannery's that has decent, informal pub type food - sandwiches and salads. There's also Teresa's pizza around the corner which has pretty good pizza, it's on Euclid just west of E 4th street.
