The Winking Lizard and Harry Buffalo are casual restaurant chains located downtown.

They would be 15-minute walks from the Doubletree Lakeside, but the Doubletree offers free shuttle service.

You could check online menu prices at Chinato, Saigon, and the Greenhouse Tavern on East 4th St. to see if you consider them reasonable.

Tower City offers Houlihan's and the Hard Rock Cafe. The 15-minute walk to Tower City could be shortened if you walk to a trolley stop.

Lizardville, a brewpub, is in the Galleria mall which is sort of across the street from the doubletree.

What rockandroller refers to a Lizardiville is actually called "Winks" http://winksbar.com. That would probably be my first choice if I were staying at the Doubletree downtown.

Also, in downtown on St. Clair Ave is Blue Point Grill which had an excellent happy hour in the bar when I was there earlier in the year. Great food options at great prices. hospitalityrestaurants.com/bluepoint_menu.php

Another reasonably priced place downtown that I like is Noodlecat on Public Square

Blue Point Grille isn't cheap relative to other Cleveland restaurants, but it's very good. You can check the menu online for prices.

Noodlecat is a good recommendation.

Winks apparently is a new addition to the Galleria.

I was actually referring to Blue Point's happy hour food specials in the bar. Last time I was there, most if not all, of the happy hour menu was half price at the bar. Portions were large and the food was delicious. It's been a while, so things may have changed....

The House of Blues on East 4th St. also reportedly has a good happy hour, but it's not the Blue Point Grille, likely the most charming restaurant in downtown Cleveland with very good food.

I have not tried Wink. I love Paninis. The sandwiches have fries on them.

Personally, I like Harry Buffalo and Winking Lizard better than Panini's, but check the menus, available online. It depends upon what you want to eat and I like lower carb options. All three are small Cleveland chains, not stand-alone restaurants.
