Independence Area night life TONIGHT

2 mid 40 yr old guys staying in the Independence area tonight would love to find a bar with live music. We have not booked a room yet and would also love to find a hotel near that spot...Any help would be greatly appreciated

Perhaps stay downtown at the Holiday Inn Express, Hyatt, Radisson or Residence Inn. Check out Wilbert's, House of Blues, or Take Five. If you want free parking, you also could stay at an airport hotel and take the Red Line rail rapid downtown. There is a rail rapid station next to luggage pick-up in the airport, and you could take the hotel shuttle to and from the airport. The LaQuinta Inn Airport North is across the street from the West 150th St./Puritas rail station. An RTA day pass is $5.

The Hooley House, a sports bar that often has live music (call and check for tonight) is within short walking distance of the Hampton Inn Airport on Tiedeman Road in Brooklyn. However, the downtown music venues are of a higher quality.
