Hotel For Ohio State University Visit

Can anyone suggest a nice hotel close to the campus. Should we stay downtown? How close would we be to the univsity from downtown?

What is your budget? There are several hotels nearby, but The Blackwell is on campus.

If you stay downtown or in the arena district, you can ride the number 2 bus up High Street and not have to deal with parking on Campus, which can be a plus.

There are also a few hotels on Olentangy River Road that are close.

The Blackwell is booked for the nite. Would you suggest downtown, Worthington, or Upper Arlington.

We have a meeting at campus at 10:00 AM. I was going to do a priceline, but I am not familier with the area as to how close we will be to the campus.

Here are some hotels on Olentangy River Road, about two minutes from campus. Good neighborhood with diverse food offerings in close proximity:

Fairfield Inn 614.267.1111

University Plaza hotel 614.267.7461

There is also a Baymont Inn and a Red Roof on Olentangy.

You can also try Holiday Inn on the Lane 614.294.4848.

Anything in Columbus is a 15 minute commute weather and traffic permitting, so Dublin, Worthington, Crosswoods are fine.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn OSU last July and are returning again this July. The hotel was very clean, right across the road from the campus, excellent front desk staff and best of all had a free shuttle that took drove us to the downtown convention centre and Short North area for restuarants. We thought the hotel was very good value. We booked on priceline but didn't do the bid (which selects from a larger group of hotels) since we wanted that hotel specifically.
