Nana Beach - near by

Hi,

I have just booked to stay at the Nana Beach in Hersonissos next year. Is there any restaurants or bars within walking distance of the hotel and if so how far?? Also do they have watersports on the beach where the hotel is located??

Many thanks x

They have some watersports at the hotel, including scuba diving, pedalos, kayaks and, I think, Parascending. Its not far to Stalis where more is available. For restaurants 30 minutes walk (uphill) from the hotel (about 8 Euros taxi fare) are 3 traditional villages which are now full of restaurants and bars - from traditional Greek tavernas to chinese. The furthest of the villages (Old Hersonissos) has a Greek Music night on Mondays which was the highlight of our recent week - see the seperate thread. The rep at the hotel lives in one of the villages and gave some good recommendations - his favourite being The Alchemist tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g678908-…

When we there a couple of weeks ago we noticed a restaurant a couple of minutes walk from the hotel (turn left out of hotel), we did not try it but may be worth checking out. We had some lovely meals in stalls, only took us ten minutes to walk to the first restaurant on the beach (yes we timed it! Lol) and then a further five mins to get to main strip. We always got a taxi back because we have a little one so did not really want to walk in the dark. If you do want to get a taxi back there is a taxi rank by the beach and it costs 7 euros. Make sure you book in to the a la carte restaurants at the nana beach, we only had chance to try the Greek one but it was lovely.
