Nightlife in Southwold - does it exist?

Got a weeks trip booked mid-July, and whilst we're not looking for nightclubs, I just wondered how busy/ quiet the pubs are in the evenings?

Never been to Southwold before. Booked a brewery tour. Have a few plans for the day, but it doesn't look like there's much in the way of public transport in the evenings so I just wondered if we'll be the only couple in the pubs?

:)

You'll find the pubs fairly jolly and full in July, as there will be quite a few holiday-makers staying. If you like nightlife do try and make it into Ipswich at least once during your stay!

Let's start with the pubs!

Always very lively, no music, but good banter.

Try "The Nelson" great place just of the main square, "Harbour Inn", believe it or not it's near the Harbour.

After that do a circuit of the others.

Also there is a summer theatre, if that's your taste.

For eating, try this place at the Harbour:-

or go slightly out of town to here:-

Also don't forget "Marks Fish & Chips"

That lot should keep you busy!
