New web cam Cradle Mountain

For those coming to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, National Parks have installed a new and improved web cam at Dove Lake Car Park. You can monitor and check the conditions of the mountain before you arrive with much more clarity, the older 2 were not the best.

It's currently not working, hence the statement in red on Rob's link page, "The Webcam is currently offline. We will hopefully have it working again soon."

Hi,

Rumor has it that Luigi's cryptic Thylacine cousin destroyed the camera in order to remain undiscovered and continue to feast on lone hikers.

Cheers,

Hi all,

I should have updated, well according to Ben the National Park cryptic Thylacine who I spoke to, alias Ranger. He said the camera installed couldn't handle the extreme conditions (they have to be joking), and a specialised one is being sought, obviously the funds are low, or the camera that's needed is hard to get (I doubt it), because it's been down for over 4 months.

It was probably a GoPro Hero held by a ranger (on roster) and they don't want to stand outside when it's snowing.

Tassie as!!
