While recently browsing the restaurant reviews for Sandusky, I happened upon many negative reviews for Margaritaville. For those of you not in the "know," (ie, aren't from Sandusky), Margaritaville is in no way affiliated or endorsed by Jimmy Buffet. Sandusky's Margaritaville was established long before his opened his chain of restaurants. The first JBM-ville opened in 1985, to give some time frame of reference. Sandusky M-ville opened with that name to pay homage to the song.
Now, I'm not surprised to see the reviews complaining about the quality of food. Not gonna lie, it's mediocre at best. However, the apps are edible and go along well with a pitcher of ice cold margaritas. And you absolutely cannot beat the atmosphere. So if you're looking for prompt service, tasty high-quality food, and and an amazing first class experience... go someplace else. But if your'e cool with your server taking her time, if you want to chill and drink and listen to music in a great location, and you're ok with just eating a plate of nachos, then by all means.... enjoy Margaritaville! It's been a Sandusky staple for more than 30 years.
