4 day trip

We are planning on going to ceder point for 4 day long weekend. We are not sure if there will be enough to do for 4 days. We thought to visit ceder point amusement park for 2 days but is there anything else to do near by (2 hour drive max)? We were looking at windsor, canada but not sure if it'll be boring.

Read through this forum and perhaps the Cleveland forum. Downtown Cleveland is one hour east of Cedar Point.

Perhaps check out The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan.

Are there any kids in your group? If so, what ages?

You are going to "Vactionland" Ohio. YES. Plenty within an hour to keep you busy for 4 days.

(It does help to know ages and interests of people traveling).

Cleveland (Zoo, Indians, R&R HOF, Cuyahoga National Park, plus lots more)

Put-in-Bay (Accessible by ferry boat only, winery, brewery, fun social atmosphere, rental golf carts and bikes, historical sites, Perry's Cave. Seriously, if you like to have a social good time and are alcohol friendly, PiB shouldn't be missed)

Kelly's Island, also in the middle of Lake Erie and accessible by boat only. More laid back than PiB, and less to do, but still nice.

Seneca Caverns, African Safari Wildlife Park, shopping, Sandusky waterfront, charter fishing, rental jet skis, etc. TONS to do.

There is also a very nice waterpark attached to Cedar Point. I could spend a week in that area of Ohio and find plenty to do - CP, waterpark, Put-In-Bay, Amish area, wineries, etc.

There are a lot of music venues in Cleveland, depending upon your music tastes.

Check out events at PlayhouseSquare, the second largest unified theater district in the U.S.

tripadvisor.com/Travel-g50207-d272155/Clevel…

There's a Hilarities comedy club on East 4th St. and an Improv in the flats.

Most Cleveland clubs are in the Warehouse District.

There are very good breweries in Cleveland's Market District.

If you like classical or band music, check out Blossom Music Festival. It takes place at Blossom Music Center, an excellent summer music venue inside the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Check out livenation.com for other genres of music at Blossom and other Cleveland venues.

The Cleveland Horseshoe Casino is downtown, a short walk from both the East 4th St. and Warehouse entertainment districts, and one Red Line rail station from the Market District. There's also a casino in Toledo.

Put-in-Bay bills itself as the Key West of the North Coast!

Here's something new (to me anyway).

www.glwatersports.com/Pages/default.aspx

It could be a great adventure to be a jet ski minnow among the lake freighter whales that navigate the Cleveland harbor. You also would have awesome views.

Dearborn, MI (~2 hour drive) has Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. www.thehenryford.org/village/index.aspx Dearborn is just south of Detroit, so you could also visit the Casinos.

Cleveland (~1 hour drive) has many options.

Erie, PA (~2 hour 50 minutes) has a nice amusement park with a fun coaster by The Gravity Group. http://www.waldameer.com/ Waldameer is also located at the entrance to Presque Isle State Park http://www.presqueisle.org/

You can go to www.lakeerieshoresandislands.com for a list of things to do in the Sandusky area. You can also request a book and they will have a coupon in it for our area.
