Eugene restaurant suggestions?

I need some suggestions for my upcoming visit...I need some vegetarian options (I doubt that's a problem in Eugene).

I'm staying at 15th and Olive. Anything awesome to walk to?

Also will have a car -- so, what's the best Thai in town? Indian? Other ethnic restaurant recommendations?

Thanks everyone!

I really enjoyed the options at Marche and Marche Provisions in the 5th street market. We got a ton of good stuff to go when we were there last.

You can get vegetarian dishes at just about any restaurant in Eugene.

Close to you is a local neighborhood favorite: Cornucopia on the corner of 17th & Lincoln

Poppi's Anatolia at 992 Willamette has very good and very reasonably priced Greek and Indian dishes. Taste of India at 2395 Hilyard St. is a bit farther away, but very good.

For Thai, there's Sweet Basil Thai at 941 Pearl

Also right on that corner of Pearl and E Broadway are Ambrosia (Italian)http://www.ambrosiarestaurant.com/

a great pizza place next to Sweet Basil (name escapes me right now), the Zenon (not what it used to be), a couple of coffee places and another restaurant or two.

Other good Thai restaurants are Mekalas on Franklin

and Ring of Fire at 11th & Chambers

both of these can get a bit pricey, but they're very good.

For veggie breakfast, try Morning Glory on Olive near the Amtrak station

or Keystone Cafe on Fifth Ave (at Lincoln?) for good food and local color. The Glenwood has two locations, one just off 13th near campus and the other around 28th & Willamette.

My daughter's a vegetarian. She goes to Laughing Planet on Blair a lot. About a mile from where you will be staying. I really like Ring of Fire for Thai food but you'll find at least 4 Thai restaurants within walking distance of downtown. Ta Ra Rin is pretty good. And if you're here on a Saturday and like tofu, try Toby's Tofu Palace at the Saturday Market. Enjoy! Karol
