I have heard good things about the Rogue Regency Inn in Medford, there is also a Red Lion, Shilo and Holiday Inn Express. We like to stay in nearby Ashland, lots of great places to stay there and the town is very quaint and full of charm. :)

When we were in Medford just a year ago, we stayed at the Windmill Inn. Had a very large room, very modern, sparkling clean, little kitchenette area, near I-5 but back far enough to be quiet; overall quite enjoyable.

If you don't mind going another 45 minutes or so down to Yreka, there is a Best Western there. We stayed there last July coming home one night and it was exactly what you say you are looking for. I think it is called the Miner's Inn, and if I remember correctly, it was only about $75 a night. It was just DD and myself, and it was safe, clean, and well kept.

Mtngrl, thank you. It's interesting that, if we make this change, it'll point us to a slightly different, and perhaps more efficient, route than considered to AZ. And it still gets us to 395, southbound.

Fun website, looks like they're talking about the Best Western Olympic Inn on Washburn and South Sixth in Klamath Falls. :)

And this... Best Western Olympic Inn, which sits at the corner of Washburn Way and South Sixth Street. $150/night. It sounds nice but Mtngrl understood our need for simple, clean and "in and out". Thank you all.
