Since I lived in the Pearl, that is the area that I am most familiar with... on every street, you will find some sort of home furnishing, antique, etc shop.

On NW23rd, are the Big Name stores, Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma Home.

We bought some wonderful Asian antiques on NW 11th between Davis and Everett...my mind is blank on the name.

Older stuff that might not be so polished and overpriced will most likely be easier to find on the East side... There are these wonderful Arts & Crafts homes in Portland and from what I saw in private homes, everyone manages to get some really nice old stuff..have fun shopping :)

Try Hippo Hardware on East Burnside. One of the original salvagers in the city. Lots of stuff.

I am in the real estate industry and the one I send my clients to is the one on Mississippi called The Rebuilding Center. Lots of stuff in there!

A bit out of the way, but Aurora Mills in Aurora-just south of Portland has some good stuff.

There are alot of antique stuff in Aurora in general.
