First time visit to portland

Looking at staying maybe 3 nights and any suggestions on what to do.

We like antiques, markets, kitsch shops, rockabilly, live music, tiki, retro, history, food, beer.

Not too bothered about parks and museums.

Any suggestions would be great.

We will have a car as we are driving from Alberta down to the redwoods and back.

Hello, Mojo,

You may like to make a run to Aurora. It's got some great antiques and architectural salvage. It's about 30 minutes or so from Portland.

Hippo Hardware, and other antique shops near downtown in Portland.

You will find lots of things to do in Portland and vicinity. Sellwood has a few, it's a quirky part of Portland.

I love antiques too. I could join you... LOL

Pretty sure you would like the Hawthorne neighborhood for the kitch, antiques... also Sellwood neighborhood has many an antique store

Aurora is also a good bet... go the back way down Hwy 99E and visit Oregon City for history and and a ride up the retro elevator(its free!)
