Eco Tours whale watching tour?

Does anyone know anything about this tour? Sounds like you are picked up in Portland and brought to the coast for whale watching.

I read their tour package; sounds interesting and reasonable. But, aren't you going to be on the OR coast anyway? You could take a boat there... In that way, you won't be doubling back to Portland all in one day.

I don't believe there are whale watching trips from down by the lighthouse. Anyways with what the lighthouse stay is costing we don't want to spend all day somewhere else. We thought about Seattle for whale watching but it doesn't look like you get shuttled to the San Juan's which is north a ways.

You'll have to clarify, I don't understand the reference to "the lighthouse"; where it is, etc. What does "somewhere else" refer to? You said you'd be on the coast and suggested in Portland. So I was simply suggesting that, if you want to whale watch, take a coastal boat and avoid a round trip from Portland.

Seattle whale watching? You could check out Clipper Vacations from Seattle and not have to go to the San Juan Islands specifically. clippervacations.com/packages/whale-watching/

Even after reading your other thread, I'm still confused, gopher40!

Are you staying a night at Heceta Head lighthouse?

If you could give us some more information about your itinerary, it would help us help you :-)

Sorry for the confusion. We are spending 3 days in Portland. Renting a car and spending one day and night probably in the gorge area. Driving down to Haceta Head Lighthouse B & B for our 30th anniversary. Leaving there and spending 1 night in another undetermined location (we just have not figured that out yet). Then driving to Seattle for 2 days, then flying out of SEA. We were going to do a whale watching trip in Seattle but they all leave from the San Juans (doesn't look like they shuttle you there from what I have read), and the car would be returned by then.

Click on the blue link in post #6. Then stay in Depoe Bay - maybe look at Channel House Inn.
