we want to go shopping to Woodburn but we don't know anythin

My friend and me live in Canada. We are planning to take a Coho ferry and come to Port Angeles and after that we want to go shopping.

We don't know this area at all...we don't know where to go. We know we want to go to Outlets shops. Someone suggested Woodburn.

I was reading some reviews about Woodburn and I think this would be good place for shopping.

Do you know were would be a good place to stay overnight?

We are looking for nice place but also not too expensive. Bead and Breakfast would be good too.

Any savings on hotel would leave us with more money for shoppings :)))))

We will need place to stay close to Port Angeles and than close to the shopping malls. I know that my friend is alwasy interested to see new places so she is thinkging about Astoria but I am not sure about it. We will only have 2 days so there is no so much time.

Your help would be really appreciate. She will be the only one driving so we also have to find good maps to help us with our trip.

Thanks.

Well, Woodburn and Astoria are both a long way from Port Angeles.

Both are in Oregon....Port Angeles is in Washington. Woodburn is about 40-45 minutes south of Portland, which is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours south of Seattle.

As you can see, Port Angeles is waaaaayyy up there. A long way from Outlet Mall shopping.

There are some nice Bed and Breakfasts in Astoria, Britta's Inn, Clementines and Rose River Inn receive good reviews on this site. There are also outlets in nearby Seaside you might want to check out. Lots of great shops there, we also love the outlets at Woodburn, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren and Mikasa are a few of our favorite shops there. www.oldoregon.com Have fun! :)

Syrah, note, she said that she needs to stay near Port Angeles. I think Seaside is a bit too far. Also, the Seaside Outlet Mall is the last mall one should really recommend. It offers so very little.

You might want this mall:

www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp…

You can plot your route starting with this website and directions how to get there.

If you were on the BC mainland, it's a straight shot south on I-5, just north of Everett, WA.

While you will have to pay, I guess, taxes, you might save a lot on mileage and time.

We decided to go to the Premium outlets near Seattle.

Now I have to find reasonable accommodation near Canada/USA border and another night we would spend close to the Premium Outlets.

Any suggestions where to stay?

Nevertheless, thank you everyone for all the help.

One day I will take my husband and we will go to Oregon but this will be also sightseeing trip....not 2 day trip for shopping :)

Be sure to make a reservation for the Coho.

As mentioned, the outlets at Tulalip are great. There are various hotels in Arlington as well as Marysville if you don't want to stay at the casino right by the outlets.

Woodburn is nice, but doesn't hold a candle to the Tulalip outlets, and with such a short amount of time for this trip, I would leave OR out of it and focus on WA instead. Have you done the Chuckanut Drive in Bellingham there? That area is beautiful and would make a nice addition to some shopping.
