Where to go and how many days should we stay?

Planning a trip to Hershey July 5th-10th. Going to visit hershey park, hershey chocolate world, zoo america, Strasburg railroad, maybe hershey gardens. Is this enough time to stay and are these good dates? Should I plan on coming the 6th-11th that way we can visit hershey park on monday 9th and come home on the 11th? Getting mixed reviews on best day to visit the park because of crowds. Planning on booking the Super 8 hotel at 7500 allentown blvd., or Days inn middletown-harrisburg/east airport, or Quality Inn 200 North Mountain Road Harrisburg. Any suggestions would be wonderful on attractions, hotel choices. Hotel has to be clean ,safe and have a pool in or out doesn't matter. Thank you so much!!!

The Super 8 on Allentown Blvd. is fairly new and would be the closest to Hershey. As for the number of days to stay, I hope the following helps. Most people can do Hersheypark and Zoo America in one day - your admission covers both attractions. Chocolate World doesn't take much time and depending on how interested you are in horticulture/plants, you can usually spend at most 2 hours at the Hershey Gardens. Strasburg Railroad will take up a morning or afternoon but there are a lot of other attractions in the Lancaster area that you could visit. There are also things to see and do in Harrisburg. As for the best day to visit Hersheypark - that is hard to predict, especially since they are celebrating their 100 anniversary and are opening the new Broadwalk water atttractions. Usually the beginning of the week is less crowded. Enjoy your visit.

Harrisburg has a lot to offer. There is the Whitaker Center, which has the Harsco Science Center (lots of hands-on displays) and an IMAX Theater. You can ride the “Pride of the Susquehanna” riverboat on City Island, play Water Golf, or catch a Harrisburg Senators minor league baseball game. The PA State Capitol has tours and there is the PA Museum with a variety of displays. There is also the National Civil War Museum. Fort Hunter Park has a Victorian-era mansion, restored barn, church, stable, and tavern house that illustrate life in the 1800s. Wildwood Lake Sanctuary is scenic wetland home to rare birds, delicate flowers, amphibians, and animals; the Olewine Nature Center has exhibits. In nearby Boiling Springs is the Allenberry Playhouse, which is a quaint small restaurant/theater and resort along the Yellow Breaches Creek. Here are some websites to check out:

Another fun place to spend some time in Hershey is Adventure Sports - mini golf, go-carts, batting cages. Here is their website:

I'll refer Lancaster recommendations to someone else as I'm not as familiar with that area. Let me know if you have other questions.
