Spanish schools/ beaches

Hi! Looking for a good affordable Spanish School. Considering San Juan Del Sur but not familar with the area. Would this be a good place for myself and 14 year old son? Are there any beaches that have some good waves without the rip tides that would be safe to swim in? What is the wildlife like. Would love to stay in a natural setting. Thanks!

I am taking my kids to Latin American Spanish School in San Juan del Sur. We'll be back the end of March so I can let you know how it goes! It gets only excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. My boys are each taking private lessons since they have different levels of Spanish.

Hi,

we had a great trip! I really liked the Latin American Spanish School. We stayed at Mango Rosa for a few days, which was great. We moved closer in to town because of the commute to school. Hotel Pacifico was nice too and in a better location for us. Playa Marsella was our favorite beach, although we only went to 3 beaches. Madera was full of surfers and the waves were scary for swimming. Pretty though. We liked the beach in town fine, toward the north end near Pacifico. The water was very cold at all the beaches, but we were told it will be warming up soon. As far as wildlife, we saw lots of howler monkeys, at Mango Rosa and on the road out there. We also went on a boat cruise with Greg from Mango Rosa and had dozens of spotted dolphins surrounding the boat. It was very cool! Message me if you want any more info.

Amy
