How is Heathrow Heston M4 Westbound Hotel by Travelodge

Hello Freinds,

We a family of 4 with kids of 4 & 7 are arriving in June at 8 PM from Mumbai at Heathrow.

Heathrow Heston M4 Westbound Hotel

Moto Service Area, M4 Motorway, Phoenix Way, Heston, Hounslow.

So on location near to Heathrow this is an idle place and economical for stay to us.

Plz guide is it safe for Family Stay or not?

How far would by London Central from here be and how to go about it.

Which one Pass would be idle to cover the Travel from Heathrow to Hotel.

Is Oyster Card a good option.... we have to transfer to Gatwick after 3 nights.

We have not yet booked this place. so am open for suggestions if something better and value for money....

You could do so much better.

Even Travelodge has much better located hotels for a visit to Central London.

Alternatively, here is a list of budget hotels in Central London.

If there was someone I hated, I'd probably advise them to stay at this place.

Not because its an awful hotel (never stayed there) but its in an awful location, its for people with cars stopping one night. Commuting into and out of London from there would be horrendous.

Hello,

I wud like to understand why do we need to pay for Travel from Houslow to London Central even after we have a Day Travel Card covering Zone 1 to 6.

I checked at nationalrail.co.uk it says we need to buy tickets for this travel.

We were of the impression that Travel Card ensures All journeys in Travel Card covered zones is absolutely free.

Our concern is the late flight arrival in London.... Than if we switch to Central Hotel than again to Hotel at Gatwick. We wanna avoid Transfers as much as we can and hence for atleast 3 days a single Hotel and ensuring that transfer from Heathrow to Hotel is not much far.

Appreciate your guidance.

For travel in London, look at tfl.gov.uk . The national rail site is good for long distance trains, but not for travel in London.

The Travelodge you are looking at is fairly near to Heathrow (if you draw a line on a map) but absolutely hopeless if you are using public transport. Go further into central London. That will actually be easier.
