Hi,

When?

If during the summer season you will be hard pressed to find anything cheap or even cheep in Byron Bay.

Maybe north at Brunswick Heads, South at Ballina or West at Bangalow. Try estage agents for rentals.

Cheers,

2. Re: accomidation

As mentioned by Oz Byron Bay is totally packed in summer so finding anything available would be difficult.

Have a look on www.stayz.com.au or contact the local real estates for suggestions. Maybe consider renting a caravan or cabin if looking for something cheap.

Nothing is cheap in Byron, even in the off season. The cheapest accommodation in the area would be in Lismore

Try the Arts Factory. It's pretty awful, but cheap(ish).

I guess it comes down to your idea of cheap. The arts factory offers dorm accomm from $25 per night for one person. The trouble you have is that most long(ish) term rentals require at least a three month lease and fully furnished holiday accomm for two months will cost a bomb
