Lancaster with 3 month old..

My husband and I are going for a weekend getaway to Lancaster (which we've been doing every year the past few years), but this year is different. We are taking our new 3 month old daughter. We will be staying at the Fulton Steamboat Inn which we've never been, but booked because of the reviews and the location. Any suggestions on best/fun things to do and places to eat with our 3 month old babygirl??

At three months, your daughter is probably not going to do anything but sit in her stroller or carseat and eat and sleep. So, assuming she's on a good schedule and isn't overly fussy and is 'transportable', I'd just pick things that you like to do and take her along for the ride. It's not like she needs special accommodation or antyhing. If you're shopping at the outlets, I'd recommend a small stroller or take turns staying on the sidewalk with the big stroller. Most of the stores aren't really designed for one of those SUV type strollers and you'll end up (unsuccessfully) trying to navigate your way in some pretty tight spaces.

Fun for who-- you or the other people around you? Just kidding.

At 3 months, you really don't plan around the kid except to avoid fine dining and quiet theaters. You are at the fortunate stage where you can still do mostly adult stuff and not be stuck going to Dutch Wonderland.

hmm, could you give some more info about the sort of things you liked doing here pre-baby? when are you traveling? what type of food/restaurant are you drawn to?

there are some decent walking/hiking trails in the area, if you use a sling/carrier. if you prefer to drive, you could map out some farm stands, pick-your-own places, ice cream shops to visit.

When we went there we usually would see a show at Sight & Sounds, take an

Amish Tour/Buggy Ride, eat at Miller's & Good n Plenty. For this years trip (mid-june) we wanted to do something more family friendly, and try other restaurants. I know our daughter is only 3 months old so she wont really see or do much- it may sound crazy but for her its more of pictures & memories sake. Would going to Dutch Wonderland be a waste of time?

Yes... Don't waste your money.. If you do a buggy tour, you can get pictures of her outside of the buggy... Try a nice ride on the strasburg railroad, you'll enjoy it, the rocking of the train may put her to sleep, and you can again get pictures of her on the train. A nice place to eat, where you can bring her is Dienners, much better than Millers, cheaper, and not a problem with a baby. Not much in the touristy part of Lancaster is fancy enough to warrant not going in with her. Iaasics is a good place for lunch, and also kid friendly, so not a problem with a crying baby (if she was to get cranky)>
