Has anyone ever taken the best kept secrets tour

We may be interested in going on the tour Weds, but may be shady as you cannot ever get anyone on the phone to ask questions. I am especially concerned that they have an alpacca farm on the tour and the only alpacca farm near there near Lititz recently moved away to another county, but it still lists an alpacca farm on the tour literature. Does anyone know about them?

Mary, I never took the tour, but there's an alpaca farm on Graystone Rd. in rural Manheim (just south of Root's Market). This is only about 4 miles southwest of Lititz, and a straight shot via Lititz Rd. Maybe that's the one on the tour.

We bought tix for the Chester County best-kept etc. etc. this fall. In Chester County, it was a two-week period in September, totally self-guided.

We live in southeastern Chester County, and we trekked to places in the northwest corner of our county that seemed like the ends of the earth! (It's a big county.) But we made some interesting finds, including a great cheesemaker and a stunningly excellent furniture factory.

If you mean you want to tour Wednesday the 17th, well, sorry, this is way past expiration date. But for anyone's future reference . . . it was worth the ticket price, especially since the tix are good for two weeks and include a discount at most places on the "tour." Just recognize it's really a way for off-the-beaten-track places to get a little extra traffic 'cause they're on the list of places to visit. And all you really get is a map and some discount coupons.
