Furniture shopping in Lancaster

My husband and I will be taking an overnight trip to Lancaster PA in mid-April. We are interested in shopping for a farm table, and heard that there are skilled crafts-people in Lancaster who make them. Does anyone know of the best places for this? We are interested in hand-made solid wood (oak, pine, etc).

Well, there are many. For a good list look under Furniture in the 'WHERE TO SHOP' menu of the tourist website www.padutchcountry.com

Possibilities range from high end places like Mortons in Lititz, to more mid-range like fFshers(on an Amish farm) or Kings. The various Peaceful Valley stores are probably the most reasonably priced(while still having decent quality).

Pine will generally be cheaper than Oak, Maple or (especially) cherry.

Note that most places will be closed Sunday.
