Steelers vs Browns game

Heading to game on October 18th, somewhat last minute decision. Any suggestions for hotels, close to stadium would be great but we will have a car so can drive if needed. Will drive into Pittsburgh Saturday and leaving Monday in AM. Thanks

Marriott Springhill Suites is the closest as it is on the north shore right by PNC park.

Very reasonable waling distance over the Clemente Bridge is the Renaissance. There is also the Westin Convention center, the Courtyard by Marriott on Penn ave, The Hilton, The Omni William Penn, The Doubletree, The Hampton Inn in the Strip district, The Marriott City Center.

These are all the hotels that are in what you would call the downtown proper--close enough to walk (although some are a long walk).

ON the southside there is the Sheraton Station Square ( you can ride the Gateway clipper boat over to the game or cab--or walk if you want to do a long walk). Ther is also the Holiday Inn Express Southside--which is further from the stadium and would require a shuttle or cab ( I think most of these hotels operate shuttles to Steeler games), but is very close to the young and hip bar scene.

Hope this gives you some perspective and enjoy your time in the city.

If you can't get into the downtown hotels, try Greentree - it is a very short ride through the Ft Pitt Tunnel to downtown, and likely most of the Greentree hotels will have shuttles as well.
