Breakfast spot?

We will make our first trip to Pittsburgh this summer on July 22nd. We are staying at the Renaissance Hotel. Any suggestions for a great breakfast spot nearby (or not very far away!?) My FAVORITE breakfast meal is Eggs Benedict!

Thanks for any ideas or thoughts!

Head to the Strip District - Pamela's or DeLuca's. Check the restaurant section and yelp.com for reviews.

Hanlon's Cafe is in the 900 block of LIberty Avenue downtown, so considerably closer than the Strip District if that is important.

If you do venture out to the Strip for breakfast, consider JoJo's, at 24th and Smallman. Pamela's and DeLuca's also good. Just depends how funky and divey you want to get.

Caffe Davio on E. Carson Street in the South Side is really good too but farther away.

Lot's of good breakfast places to choose from!

A word of advice for Pamela's and DeLuca's - both take cash only. They'll also have pretty long lines, so the earlier the better. Both are excellent.
