Check out the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall one night if you can. They're considered one of the best in the world. It's a great option for a music lover.

My top 5 for visitors:

- either of the inclines and the view from Mt Washington

- The Warhol - quite an experience even if you are not a fan

- the Carnegie Museums

- wandering through the Strip District (and add the Heinz History Center to that list)

- a performance at any of the theatres downtown

And, if time permits, take a long half day drive to see Fallingwater...

1- Phipps Conservatory - Victorian Glass conservatory which is beautiful any time of the year, but especially wonderful during their seasonal flower shows.

2- Carnegie Museums- Natural History and Art. Any dinosaur fans in your family? Beautiful display of rocks & gems, too.

3- International Rooms at the Cathedral of Learning - part of the University of Pittsburgh

4- Heinz History Center and the Strip District

5- The Cultural District - check out Heinz Hall or The Benedum offerings

If you get a night out to eat at a lovely, romantic restaurant overlooking the city, the views from LeMont and The Tin Angel can't be beat.

1. Ride the Duquesne Incline for the amazing view and have dinner at one of the restaurants on Mt. Washington.

2. Visit the Strip District on a Saturday morning, have lunch at Primanti's and visit Heinz History Center.

3. Point State Park- hopefully the fountain will be open in the spring. Explore the Fort Pitt Block House & Museum located among the remains of the famous British fort and just sit by the fountain and watch the boats go by.

4. Take a Duck tour and have lunch at Station Square

5. Visit the Cathedral of Learning

A 42-story neo-Gothic structure at the center of the University of Pittsburgh campus, the Cathedral contains 26 Nationality Rooms designed by the different ethnic groups that resided in Allegheny County. On the grounds of the Cathedral you'll also find the beautiful Heinz Memorial Chapel which, with its 23 enormous stained-glass windows, is a favorite Pittsburgh wedding location.

1) Ride the incline. Unique to Pittsburgh. http://www.duquesneincline.org/

2) Kennywood. Classic theme park that is very different from parks outside of Western Pennsylvania. Beautifully landscaped with plenty of rides that are on the National Register of Historic Places. People in the area take it for granted and just don't realize what a gem they have! http://www.kennywood.com/

3) A visit to the Penn Brewery, a truly "old style" German beer hall with wonderful food and beer. They sell their "Penn Pilsner" at PNC Park. http://www.pennbrew.com/

4) Take a sternwheel boat from Station Square http://www.stationsquare.com/ across the river to PNC Park before/ after the game aboard one of the Gateway Clippers: http://www.gatewayclipper.com/default.asp

5) Visit one of the many open-air markets in the Strip District: http://www.neighborsinthestrip.com/ And be SURE to have lunch at the original Primanti Brother's http://www.primantibros.com/

My choices would be:

Take one of the inclines up to Mount Washington at night.

Carnegie Science Museum.

National Aviary.

RIver cruise - The sightseeing cruise is worth it to get the history of Pittsburgh. There are also dinner cruises but I can't comment on those.

Fort Pitt Museum at the Point.

A meal at a Primanti Brothers. It is truly a unique Pittsburgh thing. A sandwich with coleslaw and fries piled on it. Sounds strange but is actually very good.
