parking to see and visit downtown

Just a question what is the parking situation like for Downtown Pittsburgh?

As I thought of staying outside of downtown to save $.

But what is parking like downtown for someone to visit and see a Pirates Game?

thanks

How about trying a search....most of these results are still valid - cut and paste into your address bar:

On-street parking in downtown Pittsburgh is limited and metered. Parking garages can be expensive.

Some hotels in the Green Tree suburb offer shuttle service to downtown Pittsburgh.

Some hotels in Pittsburgh's Oakland, Shadyside and East Liberty neighborhoods are close to public transit bus lines to downtown Pittsburgh.
