First Steelers Game--- v Jets

Hello to one n all.I have just read a topic from a few seasons back about where to go when visiting for a game.Much useful information was included( 2008-9)

I wondered if there were any useful updates since then.We are doing this as part of of a belated honeymoon in the USA (my wife's idea).

Looking forward to fulfilling a long held dream. We have accomodation booked just a mile or so from the ground :) and will be there Friday to Monday and have included a trip to Canton in our agenda....A serious fix of football, lol.

Cheers

Definitely try to get to some of the Museums, Andy Warhol is a must see, very unique. http://www.warhol.org/

The stadium is right across the street from the Carnegie Science Center. Link http://www.carnegiesciencecenter.org/

Take a ride on one of Pittsburgh's two inclines. You can access the Monongahela Incline from Station Square. The other incline is Duquesne . Both have observation decks on the top of an area called Mt. Washington which is hillside overlooking the city with fabulous views of downtown. Link to Station Square and activities.

If you check out the Experience link on this site you will find lots of attractions.

Great restaurants with terrific city views at the top of the Duquesne Incline.

.

If you can venture alittle outside of the city to the Oakland area two must sees are the Phipps Conservatory and the Nationality rooms at the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh campus. http://phipps.conservatory.org/

An overall site with good ideas for Pittsburgh attractions

Enjoy! Go Steelers!!!

You may want to try lunch at Bettis' Grille 36 near the stadium.

Also, if you get a little homesick for a taste of Across the Pond, try Piper's Pub on the South Side.

And I second the idea of riding the Incline. It's something truly unique and very Pittsburgh!

You might want to visit the Western Pennsylvania History and Sports Museum - there is some interesting history of both the steelers and the area in general. It's located right between downtown and the strip district.
