Novels set in Charleston

I'll be a first time visitor to Charleston in March. I always like to read a book or two set in places that I visit. Any suggestions for good novels set in Charleston?

It's not a novel, but I suggest reading The Goldbug by Edgar Alan Poe. His inspiration for the story came from his time at Fort Moultrie on Sullivan's Island, where he was stationed while in the military.
