Right. It's hard to make recommendations for you without more information. How old are the girls? What do you enjoy?

Everything will be open and there will be a few special holiday events going on. The weather will be cool, especially in the evening, but very pleasant for strolling around.

Be sure to visit the Saturday morning "Farmers Market" at Marion Square, where you can get ahead on some holiday shopping. The local artisans offer lovely jewelry, pottery, soaps and scents, honeys and jams, etc. Great stocking stuffers, as well as more "serious" gifts.

If you have a car, consider an early evening visit to the James Island Festival of Lights - discoversouthcarolina.com/products/2232.aspx
