Sette & Uno Mas restaurants

Unfortunately, both Uno Mas and Sette have closed. Rumor is that the owner of these and several other restaurants, is downsizing a bit. Regarding Sette, he received an offer for the building that he said he just could not refuse. Later in the month it will re-open as Pane e Vino, a 2nd location of a successful downtown restaurant. The owner is also a former owner of Il Cortile del Rey.

Wow. Thanks for the news. Huge fan of Pane e Vino, though.

You know, I enjoyed Uno Mas, but it was always empty. I enjoyed Sette to, but I adore Pano e Vino. And no matter what they do to that Sette building it will always look like the Pizza Hut that it once was!

Haha, I was thinking that very thought earlier today.

I was not surprised that Uno Mas was closing ~ it was either packed or empty, no in between. On a bright note, some of the more popular menu items from both places will turn up in some of the other restaurants, either as a special or a regular menu item.

In other restaurant news, Boulevard Diner is going to be open Sundays now for breakfast and/or brunch. That's a good move I think! This is a big Sunday brunch town (and for those of you out-of-towners, that does NOT mean all-you-can-eat buffets - our brunches are order-off-the-menu brunches).

It IS a good thing. I have to say I'm surprised, since all of Sal's places have always been closed on Sundays. The BD in Mt P was my breakfast favorite for years.

Boulevard Diner has a crab and shrimp breakfast omelet...mmm...(well, technically, it's just crab or just shrimp - you have to ask them to combine it)
