Trip to Charleston in November

I am planning to be in Charleston for three nights in early November. Can anyone recommend a hotel in the Historic District that is under $200?

King Charles might be your best bet.

It'll still probably be over 200 though once taxes are put in.

If your looking for something in the 150 and below range you'll have to look at Mt Pleasant

Try looking at www.kayak.com It will show you multiple locations at once. It will make a difference if you are here on weeknights or a weekend, when prices will be higher.

For the random dates of Nov 7-10 (a weekend) the best price in the HD is the Days Inn Historic District coming in at $175. For the dates of Nov 4-7 (weeknights) the Days Inn HD is $117, the Anchorage Inn is $183.

As stated, your specific dates may make a big difference.

Days Inn Historic District and Best Western King Charles are usually the least expensive motels in the historic district, where you should stay. There are B&Bs and VRBOs that will cost less. You won't find anything seriously nasty or dangerous in the historic district.

Sometimes you'll find a surprisingly great rate at an unexpected lodging that we wouldn't have known to suggest. You should do a lot of shopping, and come back when you have questions about a particular place.
