Casual great restaurant?

We are looking for a possible restaurant to try on our first night there! We love great food and drinks and are ok with dressing up on the remaining nights, but would like a fun, casual place for one night ( one that my husband could wear shorts & tshirts)?

Fleet Landing.

There will be a deluge of Designated Experts proclaiming that the food at Fleet Landing is not 5-star. Nevertheless, it's popular with visitors and with downtown residents on a casual night out. Pretty good food in an outstanding waterfront setting, and I always enjoy it.

There were a couple casual (but very nice) restaurants that we really liked over on Shem Creek.

RB's Seafood

Shem Creek Bar & Grill

Hominy Grill, Coast, Social Wine Bar are a few possibilities. Wild Wing Cafe and Market St. Saloon are more bar oriented, but serve decent food.
