Best WaterFalls

Near Greenville, what are the best waterfalls to visit for a family?

What else is there to do in Greenville itself...seems when people ask what to do in Greenville, everyone tells them to go to another neighboring town?

Downtown Greenville is beautiful and should not be missed. Aside from the shopping and restraunts, we have the Liberty Bridge which spans the Reedy River in Falls Park. www.fallspark.com

Paris Mountain State Park, 4 miles north of downtown is worth a visit. There are several hiking trails and a campground.

Waterfalls can be found closer to the Blue Ridge mountains. Here is a good link to get started - discoversouthcarolina.com/see-do/waterfalls.…

After living here for 10 years I can't think of a better place to settle down and raise a family.

Whitewater Falls on the NC/SC border are spectacular, though they are a little further away than some of the other falls in the Upstate.

It isn't a waterfall, but the Lake Conestee Nature Park is a cool place to go if you like the outdoors and hiking/walking/biking. Lots' of trails (both natural surface and paved) and only ten minutes from downtown. The web site is http://www.conesteepark.com.
