May in Hilton Head

We just got back from a Carribean vacation, and are already planning for next year. Thought we might stay in the states this time.

How is May? Rainy? We like it warm after the long, cold Maine winter....

We also would like to rent a condo on the beach. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

May is a great month for a vacation. The island is not crowded until memorial day, and it is warm enough for swimming in the ocean.

We do get rain, but no more than normal. Most of our rain comes in the summer months, though usually in the late afternoon and evening.

We just visited HH the second week of May. It was great! The perfect temperature for relaxing on the beach, biking, etc. The beach was not crowded at all! There were a couple rain showers, but they came and went quickly. It was almost always sunny.

We stayed in Palmetto Dunes at Hampton Place. We loved it. A little away from the hustle and bustle for peace and quiet, but everything was only a few minutes away: shopping, restaurants, mini golf, etc. The complex was on a nice stretch of the beach, and the pool was very nice.

May is perfect! You will not be displeased. For condos, we like units at Windsor in Palmetto Dunes.

Enjoy,
