Hilton Head for Thanksgiving week with kids- what to do?

We are heading down the week of Thanksgiving. We have never been to Hilton Head. There are 3 families. The men will be golfing probably 3 days. We will have 4 kids (ages 1-6). We're staying in Palmetto Dunes. Would you mind giving me some ideas about things to do with the kids? Or places to visit with the kids?

Thank you so much.

Try the Sand Box and there is a craft making place at Coligne. Dolphin cruises are still available that time of year. Mini golf is plentiful and there is an indoor playground just off island at the Bridge Center. Rent bikes - lots of trails.

Enjoy.

We took our two-year old back in July and she had a great time playing putt-putt and walking to the top of the Sea Pines lighthouse. We also rented bikes and rode them each day. I think all of the bike shops have bikes with either the child seat behind or the little carts that they ride in. And there are so many bike trails that you can go nearly anywhere on a bike. We also loved Coligny plaza and our daughter enjoyed walking around there and seeing all the stores(she also loved it because we got ice cream there each nigt.) And even if you can't get in the water you can probably spend some time walking the beach. HHI has nice wide beaches and you can usually see dolphins and find a good selection of shells.

Lots of things to do...we have gone Thanksgiving weekend the last couple years. Sea Pines has many things going on. Check out this link.

The weather is usually low 70s, 60s and though we didn't swim in the ocean, we had fun on the beach.

Salty Dog is decorated for Christmas that weekend and Santa will be there. We had Thanksgiving dinner there last year at The Wreck and it was pretty good. We didn't want to spend a lot of money at buffets since we have kids ages 2-10 so it worked out nice.

Try a day trip to Savannah as well. We took a Christmas themed boat ride down the river.

Have a great time! We wish we could go this year for Thanksgiving but we can't. :(
