Why no place to review the Windjammer?

I've looked all over the Isle of Palms places, restaurants and such and the Windjammer is not listed and can't find it to review it. Awful place.....heard owners think they own the island so that is probably why there is no place to review it.

I guess nobody's ever asked TA to add it. You can do that if you like. The other thing you can do is review it here.

I don't go there much anymore but I've never had a bad experience. What was so awful?

I think you can review a place that's not listed. When you click on "add a review" or whatever it's called, it will guide you through the process and then will be listed from that point on. I did it a while back with some local places.

Sorry, it's called "write a review". Should find it at the top of this page.

The Windjammer does not attract a very upscale clientele ~ to put it mildly.

It's a big beach bar. I'm not sure the owners know anything at all about TA ;)

Keystone,

I would be interested in knowing why you had a bad time. I've been going to the Windjammer for 30 years and have always loved it. I was there last weekend for their 40th anniversary and a good time was had by all!

Did you get into a run-in with the owner? I wouldn't know him if I saw him. I've never had anyone there, bartender or doorman give me a hard time.

AA, you went for the Whales? Good job.

I'm wondering if the OP expected one thing, and found something else. I would guess the owner owns no island and, even if he did, it wouldn't matter to TA.

AA & Shankle! Killer Whales at the Jammer, covering Talking Heads. Babies in bassinets tucked in the corner, beneath the nicotine haze, mama and daddy dancing till they drop. I hate to think what tucked-down bankers those babies are today.

Sorry, OP. It is what it is.

MikeStone,

Those mamas and daddies are pretty gray headed now. Someone very appropriately called it a Beer Bash at the Old Folks home. BUT, there were two women dancing on the bar, so there are some old fogies still dancing till they drop or fall off the bar, whichever comes first.

I know the owner. He rides around the island on a bicycle and in flip flops. Certainly would not say he thinks he owns the island.
