Myrtle Beach Casino

We will be in MB from Aug 1-10. My husband likes BlackJack & I waste my money on the slots. Any info on the casino would be helpful.

There is no casino, yet, there has been talk that Burroughs and Chapin(a local company that owns a lot of property/attractions) wants to build one where the Pavillion used to be.

BUT there are casino boats that go out from Little River. Here is a link for one of them:

http://suncruzcasinos.com/

I cant remember the name of the other casino boat, though.

Be wary of the casino boats if you are even the least bit prone to seasickness. My mother-in-law, who has been on several cruises without a problem, was sick as a dog for the entire time.

The boats are your only option.

Suncruz is the only one with poker, if that's a concern

I would like to go on the casino boats when I am in Little River in a couple of weeks. I have a couple of questions, I hope someone can help.

Do you get free alcohol while you are gambling like in Vegas?

Is it really crowded preventing you from hopping from slot machine to slot machine?

And

Where can you get passes and free buffet coupons for the casino boats?

Thanks for any help...

We went end of June- not so crowded that you couldn't get a slot- several open that I saw- until I was in a corner for the rest of trip sick. I took dramamine and had a new motionsickness wrist device on and was still very sick.

They had poker tournament,open tables,black jack,slot,craps.

Get coupon book- there was coupon for buffet.

Go on website and make reservations ahead if you're concerned or need just 1 specific day you can board

Wow - first I've heard of those plans.... What are the SC laws on gambling/casinos ? Are there casinos in other cities ? Can't say I'm an advocate of casinos in downtown MB.

AA, I should have clarified my statement, there has been a rumor going around the area here that B&C wants to build a casino. And another rumor I heard was that Donald Trump was down here looking at the property as well. So they are rumors, so I should have stated that to begin with, I'm sorry.

And yes they would have to change the law to allow gambling if they were to build a casino.

Sorry again for the confusion!

NO free alcohol, sorry. There are 2 choices of casino boats, Suncruz, much older boat, and the newer BIG M, nice boat, but smaller.

The only talk about casinos lately has been with the Indians and Hard Rock Park. However, HRP is not doing well financially and they are tyring to sell to Universal, which would probably not be interested in having casinos.

Burroughs and Chapin is unloading alot of their other businesses, they just sold Nascar Speedpark and Myrtle Waves and apparently talks in the works to sell the area at Broadway where the Pavillion rides are located.
