Public Parking near Ocean

We will be staying near Braodway on the Beach and was wondering the best place to look for public parking by the ocean and the best area to spend a day at the beach. We will be there in June and concerned with crowds......

I would drive about three miles south on Bus 17 an go to Myrtle Beach State Park. Plenty of parking and less crowded.

Heading North from the Sea Captain House up to Dunes Village there are beach access areas with about 16 or so parking spaces in each.My guess is that there are about 10 or so of these. They are set in between private residences.

I second TONYMIK's comments. Head toward the beach on 21st Ave. N and make a left onto N. Ocean Blvd. From the Sea Captain House up to the Dunes Village you will find a few access points. These are all located in residential areas and the beach is not too crowded.

I recently heard there's alot of car break ins at the public beach access parking. Thieves know that you're at the beach and you've probably left valuables in the car. Be careful.
