Driving Maine to Myrtle Beach April 3rd - HELP? Pets?

We're leaving April 3rd to drive to Myrtle Beach with our old bulldog....any suggestions on reasonably priced pet friendly lodging? What's the weather this time of year - suggestions on clothing to bring? Good things to see? Good steak houses? Any input is appreciated!!!

You're really going to limit your lodging choices by bringing your pooch, and will also pay a non-refundable deposit. Here's a list of pet friendly places:

www.funbeaches.com/pets.html

Weather has been mild, you can expect 70's and possibly 80's, but pack windbreakers and long pants for windy days.

There is a wealth of information on here, in the FAQs, reviews, the "stickies," and of course this forum, which you can search by typing "steak house," "what to pack?", "what to do," etc. into the search window above your post. The beauty of this is you get dozens of answers without waiting for responses.

Go to www.vrbo.com (then go to Myrtle Beach, SC listings) look for units that have the little paw print logo for pet friendly places. Good luck!!

You can really restrict yourself when traveling with pets. We gad a miniature poodle who traveled with us quite frequently. Our resort does not allow even owners to bring pets, so we located a very good boarding kennel nearby for when we bring her to MB. Most places that allow pets do not want them left alone in the room/condo, so you will be with your pet full time. There are several "Bark Parks" where you can take your dog for time to play, etc and meet other pet owners. These have watering stations, clean up bags, etc.
