Our day was so annoying. My daugthers had really wanted to see dolphins, so we headed out to do a dolphin cruise. We checked out a few companies, and chose between two that seemed well recommended. It s
Our day started very well with a short stint on an almost empty beach. Then we hurried off the beach because we had a reservation with Hurricane Fleet out of Calabash. it was about 40 min. drive from our location. Once there, we waited for one hour in the deep sun. We, and 18 others, had reservations. More people arrived. We waited some more, until around 1:45. We were then told that although we were 24, they needed 25 people to run the boat. I wish I thought on the spot to buy another ticket!! Anyhow, they reimbursed us. They are the ones in Dock Holiday Marina.
We then rushed to the other dolphin cruise we had read about and made a reservation on the way. This one was Super Voyager and Starship company based out of North Myrtle Beach. We once again waited in line for 45 min. in the hot sun and then lined up to board. As we did, we heard about 'issues', but didn't really pay attention. turns out that we would not get to go on that cruise either. They loaded all hundred of us (of what seemed like it), to do 3 minutes, turn around and then say that there was a hole in the boat. Now, I had a good look, and it was a very round hole. No way would being cut in a bad current would have done it (the jet skis and all other boats were fine). Either the capitain was a true incompetent; or this is a money scam. However, this company has refused to reimburse our money. They handed us vouchers and said to call the number to get reimboursed... which of course, doesn't work. They are thieves that stole a day of our holiday on top of our money. Please spread the word. coming back from our trip, I'll write more of the other wonderful experiences we have had in Myrtle Beach.
